Clicks Stores To Be Closed Tomorrow Nation Wide

Tomorrow, 09 September, our stores will be closed. We will be engaging directly with all our store staff across the country to provide counselling and support. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Clicks issues an unreserved apology for the recent images published on our website. We would like to thank TRESemme South Africa for taking accountability for supplying the images to us (, but we know that this does not absolve us from responsibility. The images should never have made it onto our platforms. We failed to apply the appropriate quality control measures and we apologise unreservedly for the hurt and anger we have caused. We are taking appropriate disciplinary action and are following a process to hold people accountable. We will be auditing all of our 3rd party and promotional material to make sure that there is no implicit or explicit bias. We will be making a donation to an organisation that empowers women and children affected by poverty, and we will be initiating more sensitivity workshops at head office.

We have made a mistake and we sincerely apologise for letting you down. We recognise that we have a role to play in creating a more diverse and inclusive South Africa, starting with the content on our website. We know we need to do better, and commit to ensuring our content better reflects this value going forward. UPDATE Рstatement released by TRESemmè South Africa

We would like to issue an unequivocal apology. We have acted swiftly to remove the images, which go against everything we believe in at Clicks. We do not condone racism of any sort and are strong advocates of natural hair. We are deeply sorry that we have offended our natural hair community and have put in place stricter measures on our website to ensure this does not happen again.
