List Of Bursaries to Apply For In 2024
Enel Green Power is partnering with Dalitso Holdings to offer bursaries for talented students for the academic year 2024. Bursaries are intended for High School (from Grade 8 to Matric) as well as tertiary studies in ANY field.
Bursaries for High School students:
- School Fees
- School Uniforms
- Stationery
- Transport
- Textbooks
Bursaries for Tertiary studies:
- Registration and Tuition fees
- Meal, Travel, and Textbook allowances
- University accommodation
Skills Development for Tertiary Studies:
- Driving License
The bursaries are available for students with underprivileged backgrounds residing across the company’s field of operations – Free State, Western Cape, and Northern Cape.
Through this bursary programme, Enel Green Power wants to contribute towards the country’s economic development and help talented, underprivileged children to explore new opportunities and pursue their dreams.
Bursary 2024
- The Enel Green Power RSA has over 60 GW of installed renewable capacity derived from different renewable sources, such as geothermal, solar, wind, and hydroelectric.
- It is one of the prominent renewable energy companies in the world and plays a vital role in energy transition.
- Enel Green Power SA aims to achieve Economic Development obligations as per the Implementation Agreement and for that, the Group has conducted a wide range of activities and processes including the bursary and skills development programme.
- The main goal of the company is to build a new era of decarbonized, sustainable energy for society.
To qualify for the Enel Green Power SA Bursary Programme, students must fulfill the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Candidates with disabilities may apply.
- Must reside within the distance of 50 km of Enel Company’s community of operations viz. Sublunary Trading, Garob Wind Farm, Pulida Energy, Soetwater Wind Farm, and Karusa Wind Farm within Northern Cape, Western Cape, and Free State.
- Family household income must be less than R 250,000.
- For the High School bursary: students must currency study in Grade 7 to Grade 11 and enter into their next year of study in the academic year 2024.
- For tertiary bursary:
- Students must currently be in Matric in 2023 and have an acceptance letter from an accredited university in South Africa or students must have completed Matric and currently study in a recognized South African University.
- First-year students must have an overall average pass score of 55% in Matric.
- For bursary continuation in tertiary studies, the student must achieve an overall average pass score of 65% in their current academic year
To apply for the Enel Green Power SA Bursary and Skills Development Programme 2024, complete the following application form:
Documents Required
Students must attach clear copies of the following documents along with the application form:
For High Schools:
- Certified ID OR Birth Certificate (recent, not older than 6 months)
- The most recent academic report
- Proof of residence
- Proof of income
- If disabled, a medical certificate
- If the applicant is under 18, the guardian’s certified copy of the ID
For tertiary studies:
- Certified ID (recent, not older than 6 months)
- Proof of residence
- Proof of Income
- If entering the first year of studies in 2024, an acceptance letter from an accredited South African tertiary institution or University
- If currently studying, most recent academic transcripts
- Fees documents (such as fee structure, fee booklet or quotation, etc.)
- If disabled, a medical certificate
For Skills Development:
- Course registration letter
- Course quotation
- Certified ID (recent, not older than 6 months)
- Proof of residence
- Proof of income
- If disabled, a medical certificate
Important Note:
- Bursary awards are at the sole discretion of Dalitso Holdings and Enel Green Power SA. They reserve the right to determine the selection criteria, the number of bursaries offered, and the bursary amount.
- Dalitso Holdings will contact the successful applicants.
- The companies may conduct interviews as part of the selection process.
- Both companies reserve the right to NOT award the bursary.
