QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Gr.12 * NQF level 5 in Basic traffic training *Code EB drivers license *No criminal record *Firearm proficiency * 2 – 5 years’ relevant experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor traffic movement and road sutations * Patrol an area, check traffic movements and look for illegally parked vehicles *Ensure law enforcement of traffic breaches *Report irregularities and violations of the law that cannot be enforced *Drive awareness campaigns and traffic educational programmes *Prevent violations of traffic rule.

OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCIES

Must be able to support strategies that aim to build a municipality that reflects the community it serves *Must be able to assess and takes account of risk when making decisions *Must be able to handle objections by acknowledging issues by suggesting alternatives *Must be able to sort out conflict and deals with hostility and provocation in a calm and restrained way *Must be able to respond to call promptly and effectively *Must be able to interact professionally with general public and stakeholders.

R307 066.00 per Annum
