The purpose of the Graduate Internship Programme is to work under the supervision of a professionally qualified individual, to gain experience through a structured 24-month training programme.

The Transnet Graduate Internship Programme is designed to support recent graduates in building a solid foundation for their careers. Interns will be placed in departments that align with their academic qualifications, personal career goals, and the operational needs of TNPA.

Successful candidates will follow a structured training plan, undergo regular performance reviews, and gain exposure to real-world business operations within South Africa’s leading port authority.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in a structured training and development programme.
  • Undergoing regular performance assessments and reviews.
  • Completing all duties outlined in the development programme and any additional responsibilities as reasonably required by the Transnet National Ports Authority.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Eastern Region Managing Executive Office:

  • National Diploma / Degree in Office Management & Technology
  • 18-35 years old
  • South African Citizen
  • People with Disabilities are encouraged to apply
  • No work experience within the field of study.
  • NB: Preference will be given to applicants within the KwaZulu Natal province.
