| The database is published to assist schools in South Africa that have a shortage of qualified educators. Schools are encouraged to source educators from this database. Schools should preferably choose educators who have their required skills and reside in their districts where possible. This database will be updated on a quarterly basis |
Unemployed Educators – National Department of Basic Education
Register for the database if you are seeking permanent or temporary employment in public schools in South Africa. You need to complete the form, attach certified copies of your teaching qualifications and post or hand deliver them to the Department of Basic Education.
Register on the system
– Click on the REGISTER tab
– Enter all required information
– Click on the REGISTER button after ensuring that the information has been correctly entered
– A notification confirming that the account has been successfully registered will pop up, Click OK
– A confirmation SMS will be sent to you after the registration is complete
