Valterra Platinum is inviting applications for an Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2- Unemployed)-a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, expand your technical knowledge, and explore the exciting world of engineering within the mining industry. Valterra Platinum, formerly Anglo-American Platinum, is a leading primary producer of platinum group metals (PGMs), with integrated mining, smelting, and refining operations in South Africa and Zimbabwe, marketing the metal we produce globally. Following our demerger from Anglo American plc, Valterra Platinum is now an independent, publicly listed company with a primary and secondary listing on the Johannesburg and London stock exchanges respectively.
What the Programme offers:
- Structured training that includes off- the-Job and workplace Training.
- Successful completion of this Learnership programme will result in a nationally recognized Artisan qualification.
The following are the minimum entry requirements for the programme:
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with minimum 40% pass),OR
- N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline requirements below;
- Boilermaker Plater: Plating & Structural Steelwork/Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings
- Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory /Electrotechnology/ Electrotechnics and Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings,OR
- NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass
