- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Have Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4
- Be unemployed and not studying
- Be physically fit and healthy
- Have no criminal record
- Be willing to work hard and learn
- Be willing to undergo physical assessment
- Have a valid driver’s licence
- Code B licence required for Traffic Officer applicants
- Have a pass in English (40%)
- Have a pass in Mathematics Literacy (40%)
- Be willing to attend training away from home
