If you are currently finishing your final year of university, this is an incredible opportunity because it offers permanent full-time employment rather than a temporary internship contract.
-
Fields of Study: FNB is looking for students in BSc and Commerce faculties. This includes Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, and UX (user experience/usability).
-
The Experience: You start with a 3-week induction program, followed by a 6-month training program covering Project Management, Interpersonal Skills, and Business Writing. You also participate in a collaborative “Service Channels Project” where you present business ideas directly to managers.
-
How to Apply: Submit your CV and your latest academic transcript through the official FirstRand/FNB Jobs portal using Requisition ID: R46834.
-
Deadline: 31 August 2026 (Selection feedback will be communicated in November 2026).
2. FNB FirstJob Learnership 2026 (Closed)
This 12-month program is designed for matriculants with little to no work experience. It pairs on-the-job training in administration, customer service, and operations with a registered, formal qualification.
-
The Status: Applications for the 2026 intake officially closed on 22 May 2026.
-
How it works for next time: When this program opens, FNB actively recruits through the SA Youth.mobi portal (which is data-free on major SA networks). Keep your profile updated there with your Matric certificate and correct postal code, as FNB filters candidates by location.
Tip for Applicants: FNB uses online assessments as their first filtering tool. If you apply for the Graduate Programme, be ready for quantitative and logical reasoning tests shortly after submitting your academic records.
