AFGRI Equipment is recruiting 40 apprentices across South Africa for its 2026 Apprenticeship Intake. The programme provides structured workplace and theoretical training leading to a recognized trade qualification supported through AgriSETA or merSETA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric).

  • Core Subjects:

    • English

    • Mathematics OR Technical Mathematics (Note: Math Literacy is not accepted)

  • Licence: Valid South African driver’s licence.

  • Skills: Basic computer literacy, strong administrative ability, and good communication skills.

Advantageous Subjects (Optional, but gives an edge):

  • Physical Science / Engineering Science

  • Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD)

  • Diesel Trade Theory / Motor Trade Theory

What the Programme Entails

  1. Hands-on Training: Practical workshop maintenance, equipment overhauls, and repairs on John Deere and related agricultural/construction machinery.

  2. Formal Education: Theoretical phases via accredited training institutes, distance learning, and specialist product training.

  3. Commitment: Training is free upon successful completion. Repeated modules due to failure are at the apprentice’s own expense.
