How to Check Your SRD (R370) Grant Status
If you are checking the status of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD R370) grant, use one of the following methods:

Visit the official website: srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status.

Enter your 13-digit South African ID Number.

Enter the cell phone number you used when applying.

Click Submit to view your monthly approval status and payment date.

What Your SRD Status Means
| Status | Meaning | What to Do |
| Pending | SASSA is verifying your details against databases (SARS, UIF, NSFAS). | No action needed; check back later in the month. |
| Approved | Your application was successful for the month. | Check the Pay Day field for your payout date. |
| Bank Details Pending | Approved or verified, but no valid payment method is linked. | Upload your banking details on the SRD portal. |
| Declined | Declined due to an identified income source or database hit. | Submit an appeal on srd.sassa.gov.za within 30–90 days if incorrect. |
Note: Permanent grants for July (Older Persons, Disability, Children’s) were paid out during the first week of the month. SRD R370 grant payments are generally processed in batches toward the final week of each month.
