Foundation Phase Teacher Learnership / Intern ISASA

To commence duties from May 2025

The successful applicant will:

  • be registered in their 2nd or 3rd year of studying towards a teaching qualification in the Foundation Phase or studying towards a PGCE certification
  • be interested in gaining experience in the workplace while studying
  • have an understanding and willingness to contribute towards creating an integrated classroom environment
  • be prepared to fulfil a range of responsibilities depending on where she/he is needed to assist in the operational running of the school
  • be proficient in the English language
  • be a person of integrity, vision and energy with strong interpersonal skills
  • have a highly collaborative approach, with unequivocal commitment to working as part of a team
  • have a willingness to commit to Herschel’s all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
  • be open to ongoing personal and professional development to support change and innovative teaching and learning
  • hold at heart the school’s tagline of “learning to make a difference” for oneself and for the pupils in one’s care
  • be fully supportive of the School’s Transformation, Equity and Belonging Policy which can be viewed on the School’s website
  • be supportive of the Christian Anglican ethos of the School
