Traffic Officer Learnership 2025 – 12-Month Paid Training (154 Posts Available)

Whether you live in Polokwane or Giyani, this fully supported, year-long programme could be your stepping stone into public service.

What the Learnership Offers

This is a fully funded 12-month learnership combining classroom instruction with hands-on experiences in traffic law enforcement. You’ll earn a stipend of R67,675.56 per year while working towards a recognized Traffic Officer qualification.

Where the Opportunities Are Available

The 154 learnerships are distributed across five districts in Limpopo:

  • Capricorn — 31 positions
  • Sekhukhune — 33 positions
  • Mopani — 32 positions
  • Vhembe — 31 positions
  • Waterberg — 27 positions

Each district listing includes a unique reference number for application purposes.

Are You Eligible?

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be 18 to 35 years old
  • Hold a Grade 12 certificate (Matric) or equivalent
  • Have a valid Code B (manual) driver’s licence
  • Be a South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Be medically fit for strenuous activity (certificate required)
  • Have no criminal record and be legally fit to carry a firearm
  • Have no visible, unprofessional tattoos
  • Be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Be prepared to undergo driving and competency assessments
