About the Bursary

The Transnet Bursary Programme is designed to build a talent pipeline of highly skilled professionals. The bursary is open to future or current university students who require study support in the scares and critical skills fields. Our bursaries are awarded annually to top-performing learners under the age of 25 years, pursuing qualifications that align with Transnet’s strategic objectives.

 

Bursary Requirements

Current/completed Grade12 learners – South African citizens who have obtained a minimum of Level 5 (60% and above) in their mid-year results/Grade 12 certificate in English and relevant subjects in line with the requirements of the following area of study:
• National Diploma/BSc in Computer Science.
• National Diploma/BSc in Geographical Information Systems.
• National Diploma/BSc in Information Systems.
• National Diploma/BSc in Environmental Science.
• National Diploma/BSc in Data Sciences.
• National Diploma/BCom in Accounting Science.

Current tertiary students – South African citizens who are studying towards the following area of study:

• National Diploma/BSc in Computer Science.
• National Diploma/BSc in Geographical Information Systems.
• National Diploma/BSc in Information Systems.

• National Diploma/BSc in Data Sciences.
• National Diploma/BCom in Accounting Science.
