Programme Overview

• The ETDP-SETA Internship Programme is a 24-month contract aimed at providing temporary support within various departments at TUT, specifically at the Pretoria Campus.

Key Performance Areas

• Interns participating in this programme will be involved in various core administrative tasks and operations.
• These responsibilities include supporting the departments that require additional assistance on a temporary basis.
• Interns will gain practical experience in workplace environments that will equip them with the skills necessary for future employment opportunities.
• Another key aspect of this internship is the workplace experience it offers to unemployed graduates. This experience will provide valuable exposure to real-world tasks and professional environments, which will enhance interns’ resumes and increase their chances of securing full-time employment after completing the internship.

Minimum Requirements

• Curriculum Vitae: A detailed CV outlining your educational background and any relevant work experience.
• Certified Copy of South African Identity Document: This internship is open only to South African citizens and permanent residents.
• Relevant Qualifications: Applicants must have a TUT qualification in fields such as:
  • Human Resource Management/Development
  • Labour Relations
  • Office Management and Technology
  • Administrative Information Management
  • Financial Management
  • Applied Social Science (with Majors in Psychology and Counselling)
• Police Clearance: A police clearance certificate, affidavit, or a declaration by the applicant will be required.
• Age Requirement: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 34 years.
• TUT Graduate: Only graduates from Tshwane University of Technology are eligible to apply.
• Unemployed: Applicants must be unemployed at the time of application and must not have previously benefited from any SETA or DHET programme.

These requirements ensure that the programme targets young graduates who are eager to enter the workforce but have not yet had the chance to do so.
