Mining Safety Officer Learnerships
Mining Safety Officer learnerships combine theoretical classroom study with practical, on-the-ground experience at mining operations. Program Structure & Accreditation

Governing SETA: Primarily regulated under MQA (Mining Qualifications Authority) or Services SETA (for broader Occupational Health and Safety / OHS qualifications).

Duration: Typically 12 to 24 months.

Qualification Outcome: NQF Level 3 or NQF Level 4 certificate in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE) or Mining Safety Supervision.

Education: Grade 12 (Matric) with passes in Mathematics/Technical Maths, Physical Science, and English.
