NQF 3 Packaging Operations
By the time you complete the Heineken Packaging Learnership 2026 Intake, you will be trained and competent in some very specific and valuable manufacturing skills.
Here is exactly what the programme covers:
- Filling and date coding — Learning how beverages are filled into bottles or cans and coded with the correct production date
- Sealing — Making sure every product is properly sealed before it leaves the line
- Packing and unpacking — Organising products for storage and distribution in the correct way
- Labelling — Applying labels accurately and according to Heineken’s quality standards
- First line maintenance — Basic maintenance tasks that keep packaging machines running smoothly
- Problem solving — Using recognised techniques to identify and fix issues on the packaging line
- Health and safety regulations — Understanding and applying workplace safety rules at all times
- Quality control — Checking that every product meets the required standard before it moves on
- Asset management — Taking care of the equipment and tools used in the packaging process
Packaging Learner
Applications are invited for individuals to participate in the above mentioned learnership programme based at Sedibeng Manufacturing Plant.
At the completion of the programme the learner would be able to demonstrate understandingand be competent in:Operation of the following processes:
o Filling and date coding
o Sealingo Packing and Unpacking
o Labelling
• First line maintenance
• Perform problem solving using problem solving techniques and methods
• Applying health and safety regulations
• Quality control of all above mentioned processes
• Asset management
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
• Minimum qualification of Matric/Grade 12 with Pure Math and English as a subject
• Preference will be given to applicants with strong academic results
• Technical orientation and ability.
• Display a strong ability to action, initiate and focus on technical/mechanical tasks.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of safe working procedures
• Ability to work under pressure
Additional requirements
• Short listed candidates will undergo a formal assessment
• Candidates will be required to work shifts/extended hours as the need arises
Who Can Apply
To qualify for this learnership, you need to meet the following requirements:
- A completed Matric / Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and English as subjects
- Strong academic results will give you a better chance of being selected
- A natural interest in how things work — machines, processes, and technical tasks
- The ability to take action and stay focused on mechanical or technical work
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge of safe working practices
- The ability to stay calm and perform well under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts and extended hours as required by the plant
