An opportunity exists for exceptional Intern teacher(s) to join African Angels in 2025. African Angels is a primary school, located in Chintsa East, East London, that provides a quality primary school education to children our local township.

The intern programme aims to provide a supported 12-month experience at African Angels that will develop you as an effective, motivated, inspirational and professional teacher.

Requirements

• South African citizen
• Successfully completed a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate Phase)
• English as Home Language 60% or English as First Additional Language 70%
• Maths Literacy 60% or Maths 40%

Duties:

• Assist the class teacher in an Intermediate Phase class.
• Supervise and assist with homework (daily).
• Assist with hostel duties.
• Participate in all professional development opportunities offered by the school.

Renumeration and Benefits

• A monthly salary of R5 000 per month (less UIF) will be paid, including school holidays.
• Own room accommodation in the school hostel, with shared bathroom facilities, Monday to Friday.
• Meals whilst staying in hostel.
