POST: Civic Education Ambassadors [x940 posts]Ref Number: COGTA/2023/07/03
DIRECTORATE: Stakeholder Liaison
STIPEND: R3 080.00 per month
CENTRE: Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, Tshwane, Sedibeng, and West-Rand
DUTIES
- Register ten (10) eligible voters on the voters roll daily
- Hold a monthly civic education session in the VD
- Partner with churches, Businesspeople, taxi associations and schools in voter education
- Hold a monthly energy saving campaign in the VD
- Profile and analyze VD incidents of infrastructure sabotage and report to the Zone Coordinator.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 10 pass report.
- A proof as registered voter within the district will serve as an added advantage; and
Being multi-lingual will serve as an added advantage.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Competencies:
- Applicants must be South African citizens and reside within Gauteng and voting district;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Smartphone literacy;
- Verbal and written communication skills;
- Emotional intelligence;
- Applicants must be fit and agile to reach aspiring voters.
